Call it a three-day glimpse into the future of technology for us to use.

 

The Intel Developer Forum (IDF) is where Intel Corporation and the computing-communications ecosystem come together to share their latest innovations. This is an opportunity to hear industry visionaries and get their views. From subjects including security, cloud computing and Ultrabooks*, IDF will focus on Intel’s directions for the next year and beyond.

 

Vision: The keynotes are a prime source to see, touch and hear about the evolution in computing and what tomorrow may bring. Keynoters include:

 

  • Sept. 13 – Paul Otellini, president and chief executive officer of Intel Corporation, will kick off IDF with a look ahead and his vision of the evolution of computing.

  • Sept. 14 – Mooly Eden, corporate vice president and general manager of the PC Client Group, will dive deeper on near-future Intel products and technologies, including the new Ultrabook category.

  • Sept. 15 – Justin Rattner, vice president and Intel's chief technology officer, will reveal the latest advances in multi-core and many-core computer chips. Rattner will also unveil up-to-date research and technology breakthroughs such as extreme-scale computing, contextual awareness, and near-threshold circuit topologies that dramatically reduce energy consumption.

 

Pre-IDF Media Briefing (Sept. 12): Intel will host a media briefing on using information and communications technology in disaster-relief efforts, from prevention to recovery; 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Intercontinental Hotel, Grand Ballroom.

 

Exhibition: More than 180 leading companies from around the world will have hands-on demonstrations of their newest innovations and future technologies at the IDF Technology Showcase.
